Contingenci® by Good Human Celebrates Major Milestones as Semi-Finalist in Two Prestigious Competitions: Fast Pitch Competition

SAN JOSE, CA, Aug. 19, 2024 -  Contingenci® by Good Human, a trailblazing female and minority owned startup specializing in the sustainable manufacture of innovative veterinary products, proudly announces that it  has been selected as a semi-finalist in both the ADP Grit & Wisdom Campaign and the Women Founders Network Fast Pitch Competition. 

These accolades mark significant milestones in the company's journey toward revolutionizing the veterinary industry with high performance, eco-friendly products. This recognition showcases the important and valuable work Contingenci® is doing, and highlights the growing demand for sustainable solutions  within many consumer markets, including pet care. 

Contingenci® by Good Human was selected as one of a handful ofFast Pitch semi-finalists from a small group of the highest ranked companies out of almost 200 applicants. The Women Founders Network, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is dedicated to empowering women and girls through education in entrepreneurship and investing. Through initiatives like the annual Fast Pitch competition, female founders are provided with essential access to capital, visibility and mentoring. They offer personalized support to help female entrepreneurs attract investors and scale their businesses, while simultaneously engaging them with a strong network of successful businesswomen dedicated to fostering female entrepreneurs. 

Eligibility requirements for the contest include being a business with a female founder, and being majority owned by women. Contingenci® advanced into the Semifinal Round 2 group based on essential aspects of the business model including marketing strategy, growth potential, ethical practices and sustainability. 

The company outlined its strategic focus on direct sales to veterinarians and continuing to develop and  refine its product mix, understand customer needs, develop targeted solutions and messaging, and to build the Contingenci® brand. As Contingenci® continues to build out U.S. manufacturing and is committed to offering superior products – with a one-year manufacturer’s warranty and expected lifespan of two to five years, depending on the product. Compared to current veterinary products like plastic mats and disposable pads, the company's offerings provide enhanced comfort for the animals, performance for staff and sustainability for pet owners. 

Contingenci® produces all its products at  its facility in San Jose, California, using a small footprint, flexible manufacturing system.  The company will continue to grow capacity  in San Jose in 2025 andplans to expand production to Southern California in 2025 and subsequently to the East Coast and Midwest in 2026, leveraging its growth-oriented manufacturing and sales strategies.
