Contingenci® by Good Human Celebrates Major Milestones as Semi-Finalist in Two Prestigious Competitions: Grit & Wisdom Campaign

SAN JOSE, CA, Aug. 12, 2024 -  Contingenci® by Good Human, a trailblazing female and minority owned startup specializing in the sustainable manufacture of innovative veterinary products in the Bay Area, proudly announces its latest company achievements. The business has been selected as semi-finalists in both the ADP Grit & Wisdom Campaign and the Women Founders Network Fast Pitch Competition. 

These accolades mark significant milestones in the company's journey toward revolutionizing the veterinary industry with eco-friendly solutions. This recognition highlights the important and valuable work Contingenci® is practicing and promoting, as well as showcases how necessary and in demand renewable solutions are within contemporary society and with modern consumers. 

Automatic Data Processing, Inc., or ADP, hosted their Grit & Wisdom: Smart Advice from America’s Hard Working Small Businesses Contest to recognize small businesses in the nation and give these companies the chance to share advice with the community. Participants answered key questions regarding how they achieved their current successes and to provide guidance as to how to grow a startup organization. 

All participants must have been legal residents of the United States, at least 18 years of age and own or are employed by a business with a maximum of 100 employees. Submissions were 75 words or less and winners were selected based on their originality, value and applicability to other small companies. Submissions from Contingenci® came from founder and CEO Linda Tang and renewable energy expert Mark Goldman.

“‘Baby steps.’ Don’t be afraid to start small. I started my company in response to Covid when we were locked up in March 2000 2020 on a fold out plastic table borrowed home sewing machine, headlamp and coffee filters with some leftover fabrics. Fast-forward four years we have one of the first carbon neutral manufacturing facilities in California using dead stock materials. I know that everything takes time. These submissions were picked among all applicants and allowed Contingenci® to be one of the 100 businesses rewarded with a monetary prize of $500. This compensation will be utilized by the company to organize numerous open house events at their carbon-neutral circular manufacturing facility for staff and clients, as well as to purchase a pattern projector for Technical Design lead Janella Catura and Head of  Product Engineering Sakinah Toney.
